Fly Fishing And Higher Calling Wildlife Documentaries Win Big
Flying Upstream and Higher Calling Wildlife: The Elevation, both film-based partnerships between wildlife journalist Chester Moore and Aptitude Outdoors' Paul Fuzinski, scored big at a recent awards ceremony.
The Press Club of Southeast Texas “Excellence In Media” awards honored Flying Upstream, a unique exploration of fly fishing, with a first place award in the Best Documentary category. Higher Calling Wildlife: The Elevation, which highlights Moore’s outreach efforts to children with special challenges in Colorado, took first place in the video storytelling category.
Moore produced, wrote, and narrated these videos, collaborating with filmmaker and editor Fuzinski and videographer Seth Geib to bring these stories to life.
“Paul is a great partner in these documentaries, and working with him as well as Seth Geib has been a way to get a pro-conservation message out there. These guys are top notch, and I look forward to completing new documentaries we’re currently working on,” Moore said.
Fuzinski’s heart for conservation shined through in the production and is currently inspiring him to work on videos centered on the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation.
“If it promotes science-based, pro-hunting, pro-fishing conservation, I’m in. We are honored to receive these awards and want to use our giftings to help forward wildlife and habitat conservation,” Fuzinski said.
