How Conservation Filmmaking Helps Wildlife Nonprofit with Funding

Sometimes it is difficult to put the impact of our work into words.

We can explain Wild Wishes® and how the program gives children facing extraordinary circumstances opportunities to experience wildlife in unforgettable ways. We can talk about our Higher Calling Wildlife® programs, the young people we mentor and the encounters we create. But there is something different about actually seeing those moments.

Working with conservation filmmaker Paul Fuzinski has helped give our mission a powerful visual voice.

Paul has a tremendous ability to capture emotion without forcing it. A look on a child’s face, the anticipation before a wildlife encounter or the reaction when something they have dreamed about suddenly becomes real can communicate more than paragraphs of explanation.

He also understands wildlife. By combining those human moments with beautiful wildlife imagery, Paul has helped us show people what these programs are really about.

That has been especially valuable in fundraising. Supporters are not simply hearing what their contributions make possible. They can see it.

For an organization built around connecting young people with wildlife and creating experiences that can stay with them for a lifetime, that matters.

Sometimes seeing really is believing.
