Gulf Great White Sharks: Return of an Icon Documentary Wins First Place at Media Awards

Aptitude Outdoors is proud to announce that Gulf Great White Sharks: Return of an Icon received First Place for Best Documentary at the 35th Annual Press Club of Southeast Texas Excellence in Media Awards.

The documentary was written, produced, and narrated by Chester Moore, with Paul Fuzinski of Aptitude Outdoors serving as director, cinematographer, and editor. The film explores the return of great white sharks to the Gulf while highlighting the science, conservation efforts, and researchers working to better understand one of the ocean's most iconic predators.

This recognition adds to the documentary's growing list of honors, following its previous Best Outdoors Video award from the Texas Outdoor Writers Association. The award reflects the dedication behind the project and Aptitude Outdoors' ongoing commitment to producing impactful conservation films that educate, inspire, and tell meaningful stories from the field.
